Get Involved

Your experience as a tenant is very important to us. While supporting you to maintain your tenancy, we will also support you to be an active member of your community.

We encourage you have your say about being a Wentworth tenant and how we can support you.

There are lots of ways you can get involved with us, be part of our work and be a valued member of your community.

Tenant Advisory Group (TAG)

This is a group of volunteer tenants who meet to:

  • review Wentworth’s policies
  • advocate for tenants
  • work on community projects and events.

The TAG is open to all our tenants. We have regular meetings in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury and Penrith. You can join the TAG at any time by contacting Vanessa Tomas on 02 4777 8000 or by emailing vanessa.tomas@wentworth.org.au

Tenant training

We offer training for tenants on advocacy, housing and other relevant topics such as reducing energy bills or skills for employment.

We also run projects which support you to achieve the ideas or goals you might have around further education, volunteering or employment.

Please contact Vanessa Tomas on vanessa.tomas@wentworth.org.au about any training you wish to do.

Community projects and events

Wentworth works with tenants to develop projects and events that bring together our tenants, clients and communities. These include creative arts projects, employment and training opportunities, and health related initiatives.

Wentworth is even a partner in a local community choir which is open to all clients, tenants and staff.

Contact our Sustainable Communities Team on 02 4777 8000 to find out more about how you can get involved in any of projects!

Wentworth acknowledges the Darug, Gundungurra and Wiradjuri peoples as the traditional owners of the land on which we work and pay respect to Elders, past and present, and to all Aboriginal people living or working in our communities.
