Community housing

Wentworth offers two types of subsidised housing for people on very low to moderate incomes – community housing and affordable housing.

What is community housing?

Community housing, along with public housing and Aboriginal housing, is a type of “social” housing. Community housing offers secure, affordable, long-term rental housing for people on low to moderate incomes.

Wentworth is a participating housing provider of the NSW Housing Register, Housing Pathways.

All applications for community and social housing in NSW are registered with Housing Pathways. Potential tenants can contact either a Housing NSW office or the office of a participating community housing provider, such as Wentworth, to lodge an application, enquire about the status of their application or change their personal details.

For more information about Housing Pathways, including eligibility criteria, policies, forms and fact sheets please visit the Housing Pathways website.

Available housing will be allocated to applicants off the NSW Housing Register with the highest housing need and where the property best matches their needs. This is in accordance with Wentworth’s own Allocations Policy.
